SKILL LEVEL
For the Chaat
- 2 medium cucumbers, thinly sliced
- ½ tsp salt (for sweating the cucumbers)
- ½ cup Australian Macadamia Nuts, roughly chopped
For the Dressing
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- ¼ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- ½ tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tbsp hot oil
Step 1: Prepare the Cucumbers
Thinly slice the cucumbers and sprinkle them with ½ tsp salt. Let them rest for 10 minutes to draw out excess moisture. Gently squeeze and pat dry using a kitchen towel.
Step 2: Assemble the Chaat
Transfer the cucumbers to a mixing bowl and add the roughly chopped Australian Macadamia Nuts.
Step 3: Make the Dressing
In a separate bowl, combine the sesame seeds, garlic, soy sauce, honey, salt and red chilli powder. Pour the hot oil over the mixture and stir well until combined.
Step 4: Toss and Serve
Pour the dressing over the cucumber and macadamia mixture. Toss until everything is evenly coated. Serve immediately for the best crunch and freshness.
